The Open Day to show how works are progressing in transforming the former Barclays Bank at 2 Park Street, into a new home for Chatteris Museum which was held on Sunday 7th May was a great success. The Mayor, Cllr Linda Ashley, organised the event to mark the Coronation weekend and welcomed over 200 visitors who were able to view exhibitions on the works to the building and the history of the listed property (courtesy of Chatteris Museum volunteers). The free, home-made refreshments proved to be very popular as did the chance for children to visit the bank vaults.
