Covid Vaccinations

Posted 22 Feb 2021

The vaccination programme – the biggest in NHS history – is now well underway.

In the local area (Cambridgeshire and Peterborough) 15 Primary Care Sites and two additional Hospital Hubs have opened giving full area coverage.
The rollout of the vaccination programme in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough is on track to offer vaccinations to the top four priority cohorts by the middle of February.

Thousands of vulnerable local people have already received their first vaccination, with thousands more being vaccinated every day.

People aged 80 and over in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough still waiting for their COVID-19 vaccination have no cause to worry about being forgotten. If they are registered with a local GP, they will be contacted to invite them to book a vaccination appointment. They do not need to contact the NHS to book an appointment unless they are asked to do so. If they are not registered with a local GP, they are being encouraged to do so as quickly as possible to ensure they receive an invitation.

Patients of the George Clare Surgery will be invited to attend Doddington Hospital for their vaccination.
